France Travel Solutions organised a great holiday for me around France with a small group of wonderful people, giving me the most fantastic introduction to France I visited locations that I would never have known about. The accommodation was great and the activities were well structured. I greatly enjoyed a 9 day tour called Jewels of the North. Every day was so good, with my favourites: Driving through beautiful landscapes at springtime and perfect weather every day, Giverny Monet’s home and amazing gardens, Normandie’s picturesque sights, especially Honfleur and Etretat cliffs, Mt St Michel , then Brittany with St Malo, Cancale and Dinan. We had a great guide-chauffeur, a fine French man with excellent English, knowledgeable in French history, social life, cuisine and wines, answering our many questions. Our group size made it possible to have some flexibility. I was glad to walk and explore quaint streets in Dinan and the markets at Honfleur, climb the narrow path above the Etretat cliffs, walk on the fortified walls surrounding the old city of St Malo while others preferred relaxing, sitting down in front a nice scenery, enjoying the local specialities. Accommodation was great. My favourite was in Honfleur, in an old house built in 1720, very nicely decorated with antique furniture and delightful details, with addition of a modern bathroom to every room, with an amazing breakfast to start each new day.

Thank you Maud for my excellent tour of Normandy and Brittany, Jewels of the North. I joined a small group tour in May this year and can truthfully say that it exceeded my expectations. The itinerary was very well planned and well-paced, allowing us ample time to savour the wonderful sites we visited. Your choice of accommodation was excellent too. I appreciated having several nights in each of the charming hotels you selected and having free time to explore Honfleur and Dinan, both delightful towns with much to offer. A very well organised small group tour. Though the tour was only 12 days duration it lived up to its name, A Taste of France, giving us a real experience of the unique qualities of different regions. Our guide Michel passionately shared his comprehensive knowledge of history, architecture and culture which enhanced our overall experience. This was particularly evident when we were in his home town of Avignon, where we were privileged to a less touristy and more intimate tour of the city. Throughout the tour Michel kindly accommodated our needs and special requests where feasible. If you are looking for an overview of France, this is the tour for you.

The French Winter Christmas Delights tour with France Travel Solutions exceeded all my expectations! From exploring charming villages to experiencing the grandeur of the big cities, the festive atmosphere added a magical touch to every moment.
