France Travel Solutions: Small-Group Tours of France

We joined the Jewels of the North tour in April that included ANZAC Day dawn service at Villers-Bretonneux. This certainly made the trip extra special, not only the ceremony itself, but visiting Amiens and Villers-Bretonneux at this time of year was a truly humbling experience. The people of these towns welcomed us with open arms and made sure that we knew what a special connection still exists between the people of our respective nations. Of course there were many other highlights along the way; Monet’s Garden, Mont Saint Michel, St Malo, the beautiful towns of Honfleur and Dinan, the list goes on. As with any experience though, it is the people that you share these with that make it. We ended up being a group of 10, with 2 guides, Laure and Loick. The group connected well, with a friendly rivalry developing between the 2 vehicles. Our guides did a wonderful job keeping us on track, whilst allowing us lots of time to explore each destination. Special mention to Loick for demonstrating the finer points of scarf tying/wearing. The accommodation overall was very good. Our guesthouse in Honfleur was the standout in terms of both location and ambiance, the hotel in Dinan was also excellently located in the beautiful historic centre. Of the nine days only one day disappointed. We personally, would have preferred to have spent the day visiting other nearby villages rather than the beachside resort town of Deauville. To Laure and Loick, it would be unanimous that we all enjoyed your friendship and professionalism throughout our trip. Thank you for a wonderful week.

I am in the midst of planning travel to France next year to go on France Travel Solutions trip called La Belle Vie. Maud has been very helpful and supportive, quick to offer advice and information to help me with the travel arrangements. Can’t wait for the experience next May! Looks fabulous! Now - May 2026 So, the trip sadly is now over. My mind is spinning with the memories of fabulous cities, quaint villages, marvellous history and of course great food and wine. The tour was as good as expected. Small groups is definitely the way to go. We had a good mix of planned activities and free time. A range of organised meals and also the opportunity to cook your own or find a nice local cafe to try. Our driver Laure was friendly and helpful but allowed us to be independent as well. A good choice of company to use indeed.

We ended up having 2 groups join together for our Jewels of the North tour and it worked really well. Our guides, Laure & Loick, were fantastic and very obliging. The tour was exactly what I was looking for - slow paced and plenty of free time. My only complaint is the Novotel in Amiens was very tired and we had a blocked toilet so I wouldn’t recommend staying there again. The other hotels in the old towns were centrally located with lots of character. The dawn service on Anzac Day was great. Thanks for a great tour.

France Travel Solutions organised a great holiday for me around France with a small group of wonderful people, giving me the most fantastic introduction to France I visited locations that I would never have known about. The accommodation was great and the activities were well structured. The French Winter Christmas Delights tour with France Travel Solutions exceeded all my expectations! From exploring charming villages to experiencing the grandeur of the big cities, the festive atmosphere added a magical touch to every moment. The breathtaking scenery and delicious food along the way made the trip even more memorable. Our small group quickly became like a family, sharing stories of past travels during scenic drives and over meals. Our tour leader, Maud, ensured that each of us had a magical experience and took great care of us throughout the journey. Every day brought new adventures and lasting memories. I can't recommend this tour enough!
